Microsoft has a neat little way to prevent software piracy of their Windows operating system. “Windows Genuine Advantage” with its “Product Activation” requirement. Essentially, even with a valid product key, you still need to activate your Windows to ensure that only one computer is using that specific product key. If you can’t activate your Windows, there being many reasons for this, you are left with a 30 day grace period to change your product key to one that is fully valid or get in contact with Microsoft and plea your case. You just need to get the disc you used for installation of your windows.Open folder I386 and open unnattended.txt.On the bottom look for the cd key, fill in that key and here it goes.

how i can bypass the activation of my windows xp…..since i don’t have an internet connection….or a lan connection…if possible that i can disable the activation, but i have an licensed copy of windows xp…

Just use the phone in method, works even if your copy isn’t legit. :p
this is an easy fix. Only requires that you adjust your pcs internal clock every month. If thats too much for ya. Double click the clock in the bottom right hand corner and set your clock back how many days have gone by since you installed or just randomly click a date a year back or something. Restart and you will have 29 days to activate agian. works like a charm
I have the product key from the unattend.txt file. will i have to reformat again and use this key, or can i simply activate with it?

I’m a mac man myself, but I recently installed virtual pc for mac (this allows me to run windows XP on the mac) anyway I had not got my own copy of windows so I borrowed a disc from a friend, he warned me that unless I found a way around it, it would shutdown after 30 days. Found a gem of a bit of software called ‘Windows WGA permanent patcher kit’. This allows you to generate a completely new serial for the software, rendering your copy legit after you activate it. Easy to use. The link has been removed at microsofts request but I found my copy through ‘torrentz.com’ maybe limewire or bearshare would have it too. definitely works, surprised the shit outta me.
