How to Disable Windows XP Security Center (Even After Reboot)

Steps

  1. Click on start
  2. Choose “control panel”
  3. Double click “administrator tools”
  4. Double click “services”
  5. Scroll down to “security center”
  6. Double click to select security center
  7. Under the “general” tab in “startup type” choose “disable”
  8. Throw a party! You will not be bothered by the security center nags again (unless you re-enable it of course). You can do this by just making the startup type automatic
  • The security center is actually a good thing to have but it causes problems to people who do a lot of heavy rendering and things of that nature.
  • This could leave you open for potential spyware and malware infection.
